Welcome to Mission Driven, the new blog from the Peña Search team.

Our mission here at Peña Search is to “empower causes through the power of people.” We take pride in helping our clients—“mission-driven” organizations—do their best possible work by finding them the best possible leaders. It’s an honor to do what we do, and we’re grateful to serve the expansive, diverse nonprofit community, both in North Texas and across America.

In 2015, there were around 1.56 million nonprofit organizations in the United States alone, and they brought in a combined $2.54 trillion in revenue. In recent years, charitable giving has accounted for around five percent of the country’s GDP.

But, for us, nonprofit organizations are about so much more than their contributions to the economy. They represent the feet on the ground, the thought leaders, the hard-working change agents that consistently move our society forward. Our team’s experience working in the nonprofit sector has given us first-hand exposure to the transformative effect that organizations have on their communities, our country, and even the world.

On this blog, we hope to shine the spotlight on nonprofits that we serve, as well as those making splashes in the field. We’ll talk with our clients, share recent placements, and give you updates on our company. We hope this will be a place where we can share experiences, spark conversations, and build community.
